Synthica’s mission is to site and build anaerobic digestion facilities in the U.S. heartland to produce biogas for commercial power plants and pipeline injection.
Global State of Anaerobic Digestion & Opportunity at Home
Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is a tried and true technology that has been a huge success around the globe. Germany alone (which is approximately the size of Montana), has more than 6,800 large-scale AD facilities — and China has more than 8 million small-scale digesters used for home and community gas production. These are proven systems contributing massive amounts of renewable methane gas to the power equation.
With fewer than 1,500 AD facilities in the United States, we’ve barely scratched the surface of opportunity. With the country’s agricultural and industrial food production industry, we can easily create a significant portion of our energy using AD. You don’t have to be an environmentalist to appreciate the opportunity — not taking advantage of these feedstocks is simply throwing fuel (and profit) away.
The Synthica Process
Our facilities will receive industrial food wastes, organic by-products, brewery washout, and many other wastes, at a competitive price that makes sense when compared to landfills, incineration, or sewer disposal.
We are currently permitting, conducting site feasibility studies, and arranging feedstock agreements for our facilities if you have an organic feedstock that you believe we may be able to process or are interested in how you can help, please contact us at info@synthica.com.
